The Challenge

DownBeats’ WordPress website faced critical issues, including a broken e-commerce integration that prevented customers from completing checkouts. The outdated design failed to represent their premium product and resonate with their audience. Additionally, migrating existing blog content from WordPress to Shopify required a meticulous approach to preserve their legacy content while ensuring a smooth transition to the new platform.

Our Solution

To address these challenges, Minute.tech migrated DownBeats’ e-commerce operations to Shopify, balancing functionality with a fresh design that reflected their brand’s high-quality product offering. Branding guidelines were created in collaboration with Ryan Wall to establish a cohesive visual identity. The site migration involved connecting directly to the client’s WordPress FTP and MySQL database to securely transfer blog content, maintaining access via a temporary domain. Despite using Shopify’s framework, we applied custom coding to elevate the design, ensuring the final build aligned with DownBeats’ premium brand image.
