ClikClak's outdated website hadn’t been updated in decades, presenting both functional and aesthetic challenges. The client required a way to showcase their products while guiding users to a contact-based purchasing process rather than direct online transactions. The design process, however, was particularly difficult. Frequent revisions and indecision over the design direction led to delays, resulting in conflicting visual elements and compromises, such as a dark mode feature that presented usability concerns for public visitors. Additionally, the limitations of the React.js Create-React-App (CRA) baseline created technical hurdles in maintaining SEO while rendering dynamic product content.

To address these challenges, Minute.tech developed a robust custom CMS backend that allowed administrators to perform CRUD operations on products, contact messages, user accounts, and featured homepage elements. The "Data Manager" components were crafted to be highly decoupled and reusable, making adjustments effortless for future needs. Despite the challenges in the design process, we successfully delivered a clean and functional interface that balanced user needs and administrative capabilities.

This project also highlighted the technical limitations of CRA for dynamic content and SEO, leading us to explore the Next.js framework in future builds. The lessons learned from this project helped shape more efficient processes and tools for subsequent clients.

The ClikClak.com project was a valuable learning experience, highlighting the importance of clear design direction and pushing the boundaries of technical development. Despite the challenges, the final product empowered the client with a modern, functional platform tailored to their unique needs. By delivering a robust CMS and refining our processes, this collaboration set the stage for future innovations and solidified our commitment to creating solutions that adapt and scale with client requirements.
